I can pass very well for allistic now but.

This entry made me cry. Because I feel cheated and crushed, somehow. Like a square peg that had a bit of luck in being small enough to fit within the round hole. I feel such resentment, wondering what my life could have been had I not been forced into compliance.

I feel like a hole was cut into me and only now, knowing better, can i begin to fill that abscess and heal.

-SAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5426050656197929065.post-40545927320820292602013-02-09T17:12:21.655-05:002013-02-09T17:12:21.655-05:00You can message my Facebook page facebook.com/yest...You can message my Facebook page facebook.com/yesthattooaut.Alyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06413844178426365789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5426050656197929065.post-4009226724675043942013-02-09T12:55:31.757-05:002013-02-09T12:55:31.757-05:00Hi,

I had a tumultuous life for almost my entire life and only now started getting the answers to why. I'm still in the process of figuring out exactly who I am, how autism is affecting me, and why some of the things happened to me. I'm seeking autistic peers to help me with my self discovery. I was wondering if I can email you for questions and helpful advices.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5426050656197929065.post-74996026765271157972013-02-09T10:32:38.350-05:002013-02-09T10:32:38.350-05:00This is really well done. In my experience, ABA was offered as the only option for my daughter. This is a great call to action, Alyssa!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5426050656197929065.post-53572068258975449412013-02-09T09:55:50.959-05:002013-02-09T09:55:50.959-05:00Excellent post! And lots of the misleading stems from ABA being the only therapy most insurance will cover (thanks to aggressive lobbying by those who sell ABA for a living.) This really needs to change!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5426050656197929065.post-64682146978178569982013-02-09T08:55:53.773-05:002013-02-09T08:55:53.773-05:00Yes, to this.
