This is just a pretty short thought, really.
It seems like a lot of people hold the opinion "everyone knows autistic people can't/shouldn't go to college." Well... everyone also knows four leaf clovers are hard to find, and here I am having found more than 200 of them this weekend. Just because "everyone knows" something doesn't make it true, but it sure makes it a lot harder for people to prove it false because people will deny us the opportunity to prove them wrong.
So "everyone knows" doesn't make something true.

“Someday I must read this scholar Everyone. He seems to have written so much--all of it wrong.”

Weird. MANY auties I know went to college. Have partners. Kids. Where are "they" getting their data? And furthermore WHY? What are they trying to prove or disprove? Let us alone... we don't need "help" like that, with inaccurate information and damaging stereotypes.... This is why I am a LOUD and SASSY aspie...Usually I'll use humor to get through to people who have been misinformed....There is ANOTHER rumor about aspies/autistics..."no sense of humor"....That is SO not true!
